Career Overview
I’m a dedicated Violin Performer motivated to teach and build up a Violin Studio of great and outstanding musicians. My ambition is to help students excel and be successful in their talent. I have helped many students win a chair in UIL Region Orchestra in both Middle School and High School Divisions locally in San Antonio, Texas including winning “first chair first violin” (Concertmaster) position. I have helped some hardworking and dedicated students win a chair in UIL Texas All-State Orchestra and win a chair in YOSA’s (Youth Orchestra of San Antonio) top orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra. I have also helped students win 1’s (gold medal) in UIL Solo and Ensemble Competition in both Middle School and High School Divisions and win 1’s and 2’s (Gold and Silver) in UIL Texas All-State Solo and Ensemble Competitions. Many students from my studio have also been accepted into the School of Music at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas State University, Lamar University, Saint Marys University, and Texas A&M University majoring or minoring in Music. I studied Music Performance at Texas State University School of Music with Dr. Lynn Ledbetter and later with Beth Johnson, a member of the San Antonio Symphony. Since 2012 until now I have been an active musician playing with a variety of ensembles. Currently, I’m performing with the Mid Texas Symphony, Round Rock Symphony, Central Texas Philharmonic, Kingsville Symphony, Lone Star Philharmonic, and New Braunfels Opera. In the past, I’ve been a Violin instructor for NISD, Alamo Music Center, and Music & Arts. At present, I’m very proud to be a full-time Private Violin Instructor for Antonio Strad Violin and as the 5th Grade Strings Instructor’s Assistant with the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio (YOSA).
